Student Feedback (Simon Fraser University)

As a teaching assistant, I had students attend more than one tutorial per day (repeat attendance) and my student evaluations trended high above the average in terms of student satisfaction. Here are some examples of anonymous student feedback:

“This is the best tutorial I have ever had. It is interesting and fun to participate in. You are very knowledgeable and bring great insight to the articles. Great job Andrew!”

“I love this tutorial, it’s my favourite one. Discussions are great and I feel like we can talk about everything and give honest opinions of the readings. Keep up the great work!”

“…the best part of this class is the tutorial sessions. Not only are they really fun, but I actually learn stuff. So I say don’t change a thing. You’re doing great!”

“Andrew is extremely passionate about the subject and it’s obvious. Great facilitation of discussions.”

“Andrew is very interested in the course material and has a wealth of information to add to the subject. Tutorials were always enjoyable and very open to discussion.”

“Made lecture material interesting during tutorial discussion. Very available for extra help for questions, projects etc. Awesome TA.”

“Most entertaining, yet informative tutorial I’ve had.”
